Owner and Operator of Modern Piano Boston
In this day and age, time is very important to our customers. Michael prides himself on punctuality, and you can practically set your watch to the time it takes him to tune your piano. His work is precise and efficient, so you won’t need to take a long lunch just to schedule your piano tuning.
Michael Wilson graduated from North Bennet Street School in Boston's historic North End and received a certificate in Advanced Piano Technology. He is passionate about preserving piano music as part of our American culture. Michael served as the Lead Piano Technician and Consultant for Celebrity Series of Boston's presentation of Play Me, I'm Yours in 2013 and 2016.
In the fall of 2015 he completed an intensive factory training certification at FAZIOLI PIANOFORTI in Sacile, Italy. In the summer of 2016 Michael opened Modern Piano Boston to bring his services to growing families in the greater Boston area. Most recently, he completed the PIANO PERFORMANCE SERVICE SEMINAR at YAMAHA in Buena Park, CA. In addition to private homes, Michael is a concert technician at New England Conservatory and Phillips Academy of Andover, MA.

Jennifer Gold
Piano Technician
Jennifer joined Modern Piano Boston at the beginning of 2024. Jenn was eager to continue in-home work when she moved back to Boston this year to take a position at North Bennet Street School. She has made connections time after time with clients, making her an important part of the team as we continue to grow.
Jennifer Gold graduated from North Bennet Street School in June of 2023, receiving her certificate in Piano Technology. She has served in countless positions aiding aspiring piano tuners in their journey to becoming full time technicians. Jenn recently finished the intensive SPIRIO TECHNICAL TRAINING, as well as the REGULATION AND SERVICE SEMINAR at STEINWAY & SONS in the winter of 2023. She recently began working as the teaching assistant at NBSS this year.
